SEA (Sea Education Association) is hiring Mates and Stewards (Cooks) Positions available onboard the Sailing School Vessel Robert C. Seamans Sea Education Association (SEA), a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, is an internationally recognized leader in undergraduate ocean education. Since 1971, we have equipped over 10,000 high school and undergraduate students with the tools to become environmentally literate leaders prepared to address the defining issue of the twenty-first century: the human impact on the environment. SEA is accepting applications for SHIPBOARD CREW for the following positions: • MATE (Chief or 2nd Mate position): requires USCG 500T Ocean Mates with OICNW credential. • MATE (3rd Mate position): requires USCG 200T Near Coastal Mate and AB with RFPNW credential. • STEWARD: preferred USCG Ordinary Seamans credential, Experience cooking for larger groups and for a variety of dietary allergens. BASE SALARY starts at: • Chief Mate: $ 2,880/month • 2nd Mate: $ 2,400/month • 3rd Mate: $ 1,945/month • Steward: $ 2,520/month • Steward in Training: $ 1,865/month INCREMENTAL INCREASES are available for: • USCG License above required minimum or Applicable Graduate Degree • STCW including OICNW and RFPNW • Advanced Medical Training (like WFR or EMT) • Experience onboard SEA Vessels SEA is committed to the development of a multicultural environment to help educate and support our students in programs like SEA High School, Gap Year and College Undergraduate programs that take place onboard SEA's Sailing School/Research Vessels.
