SeaMATE ROV Controller Description
** This board requires advanced knowledge to use.
Please see Frequently Asked Questions before you order this board.
The SeaMATE ROV controller is built around the Arduino computing platform. It is a two board set, one functioning as an Arduino Shield and the other providing motor control for four thrusters. The Shield board is referred to as the Controller Board and the other board as the Thruster Control Board.
Here are some specifications for the boards:
- Voltage input range: 7 VDC to 52 VDC
- Amps per thruster: 10 amps
- Number of thrusters: 4
- Control method: Independent bidirectional PWM control of each thruster
- Discrete ON/OFF outputs: 4ea at 5 amps each & up to 52 volts.
- Connection for I2C and SPI
- USB connection on Arduino for control from the surface. USB repeaters ($10/set) can be used to extend the distance to 150 feet over CAT5 cable.

Dimensions
- Controller Board: 6”L x 2.75”W x 1.4”H (with Arduino plugged in)
- Thruster Control Board: 8”L x 2.75”W x 1”H
- Auxiliary Voltage output 6V to 12V for cameras, etc.
- Two Analog inputs into Arduino
- Each of the four output channels can be independently disabled to allow that pin to be utilized as an analog input to the Arduino
